During these summer months we would like to remind you of the following recommendations:
TO PREVENT FIRES
- Don’t launch rockets or hot air balloons or throw artefacts of any kind that have fire or can cause fire.
- Never dispose of matches or cigarrette butts onto areas which could have a fire risk.
- Don’t throw away rubbish or anything onto areas that can cause fire such as glass.
- When driving around the countryside, do not park the car where there is dry growth. Park where is no dry growth because exhaust could cause fire on the grass.
- Do not light fires in the countryside or near it.
- If you have a house or farm near forestal areas or dry scrub, be extremely careful to avoid fires. For example keep the roof free from scrub or leaves, etc. Do not empty soot from chimneys, ash or coals from barbecues and stoves onto scrubland.
NOTE: The Foresty Law of the Valencian Community contemplates fines of between 600 and 3.000 euros for infringing this law.
